It was a delight to be able to travel to Northeastern PA to minister God’s Word and enjoy some R&R. We held meetings in two different locations with God’s blessing being evident. Our time spent with Pastor Jim Sheridan and family was precious and fruitful. Later in the week we travelled to the Reading area for an outside tabernacle meeting. We were also blessed to visit with our daughter, granddaughter, and some relatives who supported the service. Chris and I were both challenged physically, but we were obviously undergirded by an “unseen Hand!” PTL!
Let me briefly say, Chris has been doing well despite some anemia, fatigue, etc. We have our first appointment on 9/7 with the radiologist to discuss the nature and regimen of the treatments. I understand that they will be given daily (M-F) for 5-6 weeks. Naturally speaking, this is a bit disconcerting, to say the least. Our God is Faithful and has brought us through so many trials; but this is a “new” situation, and the need for your continued intercession is vital and much appreciated. Thank You!
So often we try to visualize each of you and wish we could assemble in one place and share our love and stories together. Hopefully, One Day that will be a reality. PTL! Meanwhile, these bodies continue to age and “crumble,” but thankfully the “inward man” is being “renewed day by day.” Is that good, or what? Let’s “finish the course” that we’ve been given, awaiting the “trumpet sound” and the words, “well done thou good and faithful servant!”
Pray too for the Mission ministry as we reach so many “down and out” people. We “win” some and lose some; but the Seed planted can reap a harvest later on. God has a Plan for each of us, which should encourage our hearts in this challenging day.
ALERT! We now lack just over $700,000 to break ground on the new building. Check the Website: www.rescuemissionmv.org to get a “feel” for our vision and ministry.
Thanks for being a vital part of our lives.
With our love to each of you,
Bill & Chris
