February 2025 Update

Dear Ones:

The prophet said in his era, “Judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street.” (Isa. 59:14)

In the Supreme Court in Washington, DC stands a statue of Lady Justice. Her eyes are blindfolded while holding a balance scale and a sword in her hands. The eye-covering symbolizes impartiality and unbiased judgment; i.e. it doesn't let outside factors, such as politics, wealth or fame, influence its decisions. The scale depicts the law’s obligation to fairly present the evidence of both sides of a court case; thus leading to a just verdict or conclusion. Finally, the unsheathed sword symbolizes respect and enforcement of the court’s decision. It's double-edge insures the enforcement and protection of ruling justice against either party involved.

Over the past several decades, a “new” culture has emerged called “Social Justice.” This promotes “equal rights” based on race and diversity rather than ability and personal character. It promotes equal opportunity, with demands for “equal outcome.” That does not promote true “justice” (fairness); rather it has stymied the “work ethic" and played down the need for personal accountability. Thankfully our present administration is exposing and attempting to correct this false concept of justice.

Significantly, there is also something called ”Poetic Justice” i.e. when true justice emerges from an unjust situation due to a twist or change of fate. For example, consider the guilty murderer who’s been legally acquitted, yet is constantly plagued by the convicting images of his victims. You could say, “He’s getting what he deserves.” Likewise, the hypocrisy of political correctness is being exposed across America. Some have likened it to a kid getting caught with his “hand in the cookie jar”!

On the other hand the Bible is replete with examples of those like Joseph, Moses, Daniel, Esther etc. who all faced impending death; yet through God’s providential “reversals” all were vindicated or justified. It all illustrates the truth of Romans 8:28 that “all things” (and people) are working together for good to those who love God...” Whatever the Lord is up to these days in our situation, let’s be part of the solution and not the problem. Being the Just God, He will always do the right thing for His glory and our good! PTL!

This letter is late due to my ongoing bout with physical challenges. Right now there’s concern about my heart due to edema (water retention) in my legs and feet, etc.. Thank you so much for your intercession during this trying process.

The Holy Spirit continues to touch hearts at the Mission. The presence of God has been very evident in the meetings. Continue to pray for the genuine salvation of many precious souls.

With my gratitude and love in Christ,

Pastor Bill
