Dear Ones:
The Word says, “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.” (Prov. 29:2) How do you explain the nationwide “rejoicing” since the Jan. 20th inauguration? I submit that we’ve been somewhat liberated from a wicked political domain which has sought to destroy our national freedom. The attempt to reestablish Constitutional justice and morality has sparked a new attitude of jubilation among many in this godless, “depressed” society.
We now have an imperfect but courageous leader who is exposing Truth which in turn “sets” people free. This righteousness may not be spiritual per/se but has certainly fostered a moral resurgence. King Solomon led Israel in a 40-year utopia of peace despite his flaws and inconsistencies. Can that be done is this day?
Whatever the case, the corrupt “deep state” is not going far away; unlike Solomon’s monarchy, we have supposedly a two-party system. However, over recent decades, the “liberal’ Democratic Party has been radicalized to a lock-step religion, demanding total allegiance from its political disciples. It’s now a corrupt, hard-fisted machine, intolerant of conservative values and void of common sense; it’s deceptive “dogma” is bent in destroying our Republic to embrace Marxism. True Americans have picked up on this and “rebelled” accordingly.
In Jesus’ day, His every move was under surveillance by a religious “mafia”. When they finally rejected His message and actions, they murdered Him! That agenda continues to manifest in our present political arena.
Will a Heaven-sent revival save the day? How does this line up with last-day prophecy? These are serious considerations beyond our understanding. In the meantime, here’s a helpful insight in understanding our new controversial president. In the O.T., Jeremiah the prophet preached God’s judgment upon wicked Judah and then stood in the shambles and wept over their sin. I’ve learned that true men of Truth will proclaim God’s wrath, but practice love. False prophets, however, preach love and practice wrath (anger). Check out that principle.
I’m writing this Update from the “sick bay” while nursing a case of Pneumonia and Flu. I’m slowly mending on this 10-day regimen of meds and rest. Your prayers are vital and much appreciated. May our God continue to bless and encourage each of you in your sphere of ministry, Thank you for your faithful friendship in the Gospel of grace.
Reaching out to you with my love and prayers,
Pastor Bill
